Hridaya Northwest Silent Meditation Retreats

“In the heart, love and wisdom become one.”

— Sahajananda

Welcome!

If you are yearning to go beyond your everyday reality, to quiet your mind and connect to the deepest part of yourself, join us for a Silent Meditation Retreat.  A retreat isn't about a technique or bit of knowledge. A Silent Retreat is a chance to open toward the part of you that is beyond all limitations.

What is a Silent Retreat?

A Hridaya silent meditation retreat is an invitation to discover the joy of being quiet. To remove yourself from everyday distractions, peel away layers of the ego, and find the peace within. If you are yearning to go beyond your everyday reality, to quiet your mind and connect to the deepest part of yourself, join us for a silent meditation retreat.

We design our retreats to guide you to an intimate understanding of what meditation is so you can experience the inner transformation it kindles.

  • "This retreat changed my perspective about what meditation is, from a rigid “follow the rules and you will be spiritual” to “here are some tools but feel free to get there on your own pace, in your own way.” I really appreciate how supported you all made me feel and I was comfortable to be myself. I have learned more about my inner-self in these 4 days than I have trying to meditate on my own for months. The teachings seemed to speak exactly to what I needed to hear. And the food was delicious and made me feel loved."

    — Carla, Seattle

  • "To be in a group of people living and working/practicing together with total respect of the silence and each other was truly impressive."

    — Sara, Vancouver

  • "This retreat helped me to reframe trauma. My brain just “re-wrote” a few deeply painful memories, just as you described it could. It felt so liberating and joyful to let go of that pain. So grateful for this beautiful experience, a weekend of loving self-care and having your radiant spirit as my mentor and guide."

    — Allyson, Seattle

  • "I would like to express my gratitude for co-creating a very moving and transformative experience. Grace has the voice of an angel – inviting, encouraging, welcoming, and soothing. They are a beautiful vessel for which these teachings flow through. Their work is a blessing to many and I am so incredibly grateful. Dianna’s cooking was so deeply nourishing and healing. Each meal was an experience of its own, with surprising flavors, joyful textures and a delightful wonder to each of my senses."

    — Angelina, Tacoma

Anti-Racism and Colonization Statement

At Hridaya Northwest, we acknowledge that racism and its real-world impacts effect each of us living in colonized culture. Our retreats and spiritual practices include examining these impacts in our inner world and our outer actions.

Undoing oppression and white supremacy culture is a priority in our organization. We acknowledge that spiritual teachings throughout the last century have continued to provide more access for white, educated, financially affluent people. We are committed to providing accessibility to receiving quality, holistic spiritual teachings for People of the Global Majority, BIPOC and People of Color through the teachings and scholarships to our retreats, which are already offered at significantly less than other meditation retreats in the US.

We are also honored to partner with Grief to Action, Holistic Resistance and the Chronically UnderTouched Project for an annual silent retreat. Information can be found on each retreat page.
